Milan directors Marco Fassone and Massimiliano Mirabelli sent someone else to inform Vincenzo Montella he had been sacked, it’s reported.
The announcement of a dismissal came this morning with a surprise statement from the club, appointing youth team boss Gennaro Gattuso.
According to Sky Sport Italia, although director of sport Mirabelli is currently at the Milanello training ground, he did not inform Montella personally that he was fired.

According to Sky Sport Italia, although director of sport Mirabelli is currently at the Milanello training ground, he did not inform Montella personally that he was fired.
Instead, they sent ‘a collaborator of the club’ to speak with the Coach, who arrived in the morning ready to take the training session.
CEO Fassone is currently attending the Lega Serie A meeting, so is not present at the ground.
