Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Montella is destined for coaching success, says veteran tactician Giovanni Galeone.

“He is one of the few Italian tacticians around who looks for performances over results,” the ex-Pescara and Udinese” data-scaytid=”6″>Udinese man noted.

“He is the best emerging boss in the Italian game and he’s always been destined for success as a Coach. The Viola can aim high with him at the helm.”

Montella was handed his first top-flight job by Roma half way through the 2010-11 season. He then proved to be a success at Catania in 2011-12.

There was talk in the summer that he would return to Roma, but they opted for Zdenek Zeman and Fiorentina subsequently swooped for the former striker.

He’s now winning comparisons with what Cesare Prandelli achieved at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

“Montella could actually have a better relationship with his players than Prandelli did,” Galeone continued.

“Montella is young enough to still have the mentality of a player and he knows how to motivate them.”
