“We need patience to figure out what could happen. I hope that it is not too serious,” said Coach Montella in today’s Press conference.
“The club will do everything to find what is needed to improve this squad. A lot will depend on what the market has to offer. There aren’t many opportunities to replace players like Rossi or Mario Gomez.
“We know it’s tough in January, but I am sure our directors will try to cover their absence in every way possible. I have confidence, even though I am well aware nobody will do us any favours.”
It’s reported Milan could have the key in the form of Matri, who received an offer from West Bromwich Albion but is eager to remain in Serie A.
“We have very clear ideas on the forward we are looking for. Matri? I don’t like discussing individual players. I am concentrated more on tomorrow’s game,” said Montella.
