Milan Coach Vincenzo Montella confirms Marseille target Carlos Bacca won’t play on Thursday “due to future transfer market moves”.

The Colombian international appears likely to leave the club this summer, with André Silva already signed and another striker on the way.

Bacca didn’t feature at all during today’s 4-0 win over Bayern Munich, and the Coach explained why in his post-match Press conference.

“I didn’t play him because he won’t play on Thursday,” Montella said.

Bacca didn’t feature at all during today’s 4-0 win over Bayern Munich, and the Coach explained why in his post-match Press conference.

“I didn’t play him because he won’t play on Thursday,” Montella said.

“We did it in harmony, but it’s clear that the choice is also due to future transfer market moves.”

Montella also gave his reflection on today’s win over the German champions in Shenzhen.

“It’s really difficult to prepare a game at this point of the season. Sometimes you can hurt, other times you do really well.

“I saw a big difference today compared to the first game [with Borussia Dortmund], but I’m not looking at the result.

“What I liked was how the team put into practice what we worked on in training.

“We were compact between the lines and we worked as a team without the ball. There’s still a lot of work to be done, but I’m sure we’ll do well against Craiova.”
