Roma director Monchi urged fans not to be “hasty” with Patrik Schick and is glad Diego Perotti wasn’t hurt in today’s car crash.

Patrik Schick had been expected to get his first start in a Giallorossi jersey, as Perotti is out injured, but Cengiz Under is given the nod instead.

“After three months out, he played for 10 minutes against Genoa and it’s too early to start him. The Coach is looking after the player and trying not to be too hasty,” Monchi told Mediaset Premium.

Not only is Perotti out injured, but he also had a scare this morning when crashing his car on the way to training.

“He was fortunate that he wasn’t hurt. We are calm, because we know that he is fine and only the car had a problem in the end.

“We are happy with the work Edin Dzeko is doing, even if he hasn’t found the net for a while, as he is really helping the team and sets the example.

“We were always confident Aleksandar Kolarov would do well here, as he is a great professional with a lot of experience. He also knows this city and the language from his time at Lazio.”

This evening there is another Serie A game, as leaders Napoli host third-placed reigning champions Juventus.

“We hope for a draw, that way we could take two points off both of them. Napoli are very strong right now and are feeling confident, so it’ll be a great game to watch.”
