The defender moved from Atletico Madrid to Inter last summer and made an immediate impact, but spoke to Globoesporte in Brazil about the differences between the two Leagues.

“It is more difficult to win a game in Italy. In Spain, if you play for a big club, you know you’re going to win.

“It’s more complicated here because the more Italians there are in a team, the more difficult they are to beat. Tactically they are very obedient and organised.

“Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi would be able to score goals anywhere, but they certainly wouldn’t get in front of goal as easily in Italy as they do in Spain, because tactically the teams are superior.”

Miranda’s former Coach Simeone has been linked with a future on the Inter bench, having already played at San Siro for many years.

“Simeone had experience in Italy and, as Italians are very strong tactically, he passed on a lot of what he learned here.

“I don’t see him leaving Atleti for many years, as he is very happy there. He demands everything from his players every day and gets the best out of them.

“We don’t talk much anymore, as I tried to break away from Atletico. I have to fully experience Inter, as Inter is my home, my club and I must dedicate myself to the present.”
