Now Calciomercato.it claim negotiations are stepping up between the FIGC and De Biasi.

The former Brescia and Torino Coach has a contract with Albania until 2017, but could be allowed to leave early if Italy came calling.

De Biasi has achieved extraordinary things in the last two years, enabling Albania to qualify for Euro 2016, their first major international tournament.

It’s reported the Federation already approached him in early March and are now increasing negotiations.

De Biasi will turn 60 in June and has an intriguing CV including spells at Levante, Torino and Udinese.

He took charge of the Albania team in December 2011 and transformed the squad.

In qualifying for Euro 2016, they won four, drew two and lost only two games.
