Milan sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli is “waiting for UEFA’s provisions” even if they hear from Coach Rino Gattuso “30-40 times a day”.

The Rossoneri will be sanctioned for breaching Financial Fair Play, and it’s widely expected they’ll be banned from Europe for one or possibly two years.

The saga has dragged on though, with a decision which was supposed to be announced last week now expected to be announced tomorrow or Wednesday.

The saga has dragged on though, with a decision which was supposed to be announced last week now expected to be announced tomorrow or Wednesday.

“We’re working on the things we have to prepare and then waiting for UEFA’s provisions,” Mirabelli told SportItalia.

“So we’re forced to wait. It’s a strange way to work, but we have to adapt. We know that we need to have a careful transfer campaign, but we’ve worked to have a squad – the youngest in Italy – for next season.

“We’re sorry for our fans who are waiting for a resolution to these problems, but I assure them we’re all working for the good of Milan.

“Gattuso? He’s never calm, even when he’s on holiday he’s on it. We hear from him 30 or 40 times a day, maybe it’d be better if he never went away!”

Mirabelli was also asked about potential incomings and outgoings, including a potential move for Max Meyer on a free.

“He’s a player we know, a good one, but we’re not interested because we’re covered in that position.

“Nikola Kalinic? We know he’s had back problems but he’s a player who, despite a bad season, has a market because there are clubs asking for him from all over Europe. It’s not a problem.

“As for Suso, he’s an important player for us. We renewed his contract with a clause that applies to foreign countries.

“He wants to stay in Rossonero, so unless he’s changed his mind there are no problems.

“Donnarumma? At the moment there are no offers.”
