Inter striker Diego Milito says he was sad to score last night given his goal was only worth a draw with Lecce.

The 31-year-old Argentine gave the Nerazzurri the lead after 75 minutes and celebrated by pulling out a shirt with Walter Samuel's name and number on the back.

Samuel was ruled out for much if not all of the season this week after suffering cruciate ligament damage against Brescia.

Samuel was ruled out for much if not all of the season this week after suffering cruciate ligament damage against Brescia.

However, Inter's advantage lasted all of three minutes, as Ruben Olivera equalised for the home side, resulting in Rafa Benitez's third 1-1 draw in four matches in Serie A.

"I am sad because my goal didn't bring the victory that I dedicated to Samuel," Milito admitted.

"Now I want to score in the derby. Physically I feel better. I had agreed with Benitez that playing three games a week could be a risk."
