“We went behind and equalised, but it wasn’t enough, because we didn’t come here for the draw and pushed until we got the victory,” the Serbian midfielder told Mediaset Premium.
“I knew on the Caicedo goal that he wasn’t offside, because I saw when I made the pass that he was behind the defender.”
It’s a remarkable achievement, as Sampdoria had a perfect home record in Serie A this season.
“The Coach wanted to substitute me late on, as I was tired, but I felt good enough to continue. We needed this win after two games that weren’t great.”
Lazio have won seven out of their eight away games in Serie A, but the only defeat was against Roma – at the Stadio Olimpico.
