Milan are struggling to reach an agreement for Jakub Kiwior and Clement Lenglet, so Brest defender Lilian Brassier has emerged as a transfer target for the Rossoneri, while the Growth Decree scrap makes it more expensive to get Serhou Guirassy.

Matteo Gabbia has returned from a loan spell at Villarreal, but Milan chief scout Geoffrey Moncada has confirmed the Rossoneri are working on more defenders for the winter transfer window.

One of their primary targets is Arsenal defender Kiwior but Wednesday’s printed edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (page six) reports talks with the Gunners are not progressing positively as the Premier League giants are unwilling to loan the Poland defender out in January and the same is true of Takehiro Tomiyasu who has also been sounded out by the Rossoneri.

Another top target is Barcelona‘s Lenglet, currently on loan at Aston Villa, but the Premier League side don’t want to part company with the French centre-back in January so Milan have now set their sights on 24-year-old defender Brassier.

Sky Sport confirms the versatile Brest man is on Milan’s radars, with his price tag in the region of €12m.

As for the attack, the Serie A giants have followed Guirassy for several weeks and his €17m clause makes him an exciting target for January, but the 27-year-old has reportedly requested a €5m-a-year net salary which, without the Growth Decree, would cost Milan circa €9.2m gross rather than €6.5m, so the Rossoneri are making their assessments also considering Luka Jovic’s recent goal-scoring form.
