Alessandro Nesta has labelled Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri and former teammate Pippo Inzaghi as childish after their alleged bust-up last week.

The two men, who subsequently played down the row, are understood to have exchanged words when Allegri visited the club’s youth sector where Inzaghi now coaches the Allievi side.

“If what I read happened between the two then it was childish,” the veteran defender, who left the club after a decade this summer, stated. “They acted like kids.”

The Rossoneri have undergone some major squad surgery this summer and it hasn’t come without consequences.

In four League games so far this term, the Diavolo have lost to Sampdoria, Atalanta and now Udinese. Such results have cast doubts over the future of Allegri.

“Milan have started seasons poorly in the past, but we were then still able to have excellent campaigns,” the Montreal Impact man noted.

“Sacking Allegri? I don’t know who could be an alternative for him…”
