The club owner, who is also Prime Minister of Italy, splashed out in the summer when signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Barcelona and Robinho from Manchester City.

It was reported in ItaSportPress and La Repubblica that Berlusconi has been talking about his plans for the future.

“My dream is to bring Cristiano Ronaldo to San Siro. I'd love to have him here,” was the quote attributed to him.

It would be a highly unlikely transfer, seeing as Real Madrid bought the Portuguese talent for €80m in 2009.
