The Rossoneri are probably out of the title race now but these Milan vs. Torino predictions will show that Stefano Pioli’s men need to pick up points to stay in the hunt for the Champions League.

Milan vs. Torino odds

1 – Milan to win – 3/4

2 – Under 2.5 goals scored – 10/11

3 – Both teams not to score – 19/20

4 – Oliver Giroud to score at any time – 6/4

5 – Milan to win 2-0 – 15/2

Pioli will need to figure out fast how to pick up his Milan players after the crushing defeat to Inter in the Derby della Madonnina on Sunday. The Rossoneri never really looked like winning that one and the loss has effectively signalled the end of their Scudetto hopes this season too.

Now Milan need to get back on track to make sure that they don’t lose out in the race to qualify for the Champions League as well. Three straight defeats – and not one win in the last five games – have seen the Rossoneri fall away from the top clubs and they cannot really afford to keep dropping points.

Rafael Leão looked dejected at the end of the Milan derby on Sunday – and was disappointed to have been dropped in the first place. But the Portugal international is one of the better players in the squad and needs to be involved. His work down the left could provide Oliver Giroud with a chance to get back to scoring here.

Torino will be no pushover though. The Granata have lost just once in their last eight Serie A games and are pushing for European qualification themselves. A win on Friday would put them just five points behind Milan.

A narrow 1-0 win over Udinese at the weekend put Torino in pole position if any of the top teams falter in the next few weeks. Udinese had been looking like one of the main challengers, but now Ivan Jurić’s side lead the charge from mid-table.

Torino have made the most of a relatively favourable fixture schedule in the last few weeks. But now Milan should pose a more difficult test. This could be a close game though – and the home side will need to fight all the way to capture the much-needed three points.

Milan team news

Stefano Pioli has said that he plans to keep with the 3-5-2 line-up that failed so miserably against Inter at the weekend. The opponents may dictate that anyway but that could mean that Rafael Leão misses out again. Brahim Diaz may start in place of Junior Messias though.

Torino team news

Ivan Jurić will probably not look to change his starting XI too much, considering Torino have been playing very well recently. Nikola Vlašić may return in the middle in an attempt to push at a Milan defence that has been leaking goals recently.
