Renato Sanches

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Renato Sanches is closer than Sven Botman to joining Milan as Manchester United and Newcastle could outbid the Rossoneri for the Dutch defender.

Milan are on the lookout for a new centre midfielder as Franck Kessié will join Barcelona as a free agent. Sanches is their priority target and according to Gazzetta, the Portuguese midfielder is close to moving to San Siro.

His agent Jorge Mendes has already reached an agreement with the Serie A champions, who are now trying to agree on a transfer fee with Lille. Milan have been negotiating with the Ligue 1 side for Botman as well. The Dutch defender has also given his green light to join the Rossoneri.

Botman confirms Milan ‘working on’ transfer

However, talks have been ongoing for a long time and there’s a feeling that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara won’t be able to match Lille’s asking price. Manchester United and Newcastle are closely monitoring the defender and have more financial resources than Milan to convince Lille.

Botman confirmed ongoing talks with the Rossoneri earlier this week and his agent had reached an agreement with Milan during a transfer meeting held in February.

6 thought on “Milan transfers: Sanches agrees terms, Man Utd and Newcastle ahead in Botman race?”
  1. The player wants Milan, no attraction in going to a club like Newcastle. United are a shambles too, so doubt they are an option either

  2. If Botman wants to come then his will should make the difference. I can’t see why he would move to Newcastle, they are lightyears behind Milan in my opinion and reality. Manure (United) are just plain rubbish.

  3. Man Utd are rubbish now but they have some cash and ten Hag, so that will help their cause. I would prefer Bremer but either of them would be good.

  4. Bremer would cost more or less the same so what is the point? The brazilian is already proven in Serie A. Botman needs to request a transfer to Milan, or fo to a rebuilding side like United which is way behind City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham…
