Milan’s Vice-President Adriano Galliani will reportedly open official negotiations with Real Madrid later today for the transfer of Ricky Kaka.

The Brazilian playmaker has been linked with a  return to San Siro this summer after reportedly being told by Jose Mourinho that he has no future with Los Blancos.

Whilst Mourinho has since back-tracked slightly on that stance, Kaka remains heavily linked with a departure, with Milan the most public so far in their confirmed interest in the 30-year-old.

Last week saw director Galliani fly out to America, where Real Madrid are on pre-season, in anticipation of meeting with their President Florentino Perez.

Talks with Perez are expected to begin today, ahead of Milan’s friendly against the Spanish champions tomorrow.

Initial speculation has Galliani interested in an initial loan deal and Perez unwilling to sacrifice the player for a low fee. Kaka’s wage demands of a reported €10m a year are believed to be the real sticking point.
