Gennaro Gattuso is reportedly considering switching to 4-3-3 for Milan’s game with Bologna on Sunday night.

The Rossoneri have been playing with a back-three for most of the season, and the new Coach has played 3-4-3 and 3-5-2 since replacing Vincenzo Montella on the bench, but hinted after the Europa League loss to Rijeka that he could make a change.

According to calciomercato.com, Gattuso has been working on a 4-3-3 at Milanello this week, not least because Alessio Romagnoli is suspended for this weekend’s match.

It’s expected that Leonardo Bonucci and Mateo Muscacchio will play in the centre of a back-four, with Ricardo Rodriguez and Ignazio Abate flanking them.

Lucas Biglia hasn’t impressed so far this season, so Riccardo Montolivo should play in the centre of midfield alongside Franck Kessié and Giacomo Bonaventura.

André Silva came in for criticism after his performance on Thursday, so Nikola Kalinic should lead the line with Suso and Fabio Borini on the wings.

Possible Milan XI: Donnarumma; Abate, Musacchio, Bonucci, Rodriguez; Kessié, Montolivo, Bonaventura; Borini, Kalinic, Suso
