The Rossoneri host Atleti in the first leg of the Champions League Last 16 on Wednesday evening, with the Spanish arriving in a much healthier domestic situation than their San Siro opponents.

Even in acknowledging the strength of Diego Simeone’s side, full-back De Sciglio believes that Il Diavolo will not sit back this week.

“It's a very difficult game and we'll try to do our best,” the 21-year-old has told the Corriere della Sera today.

“They are very good to recover the ball and then on the counter-attack, so we'll try to lose fewer balls as possible.

“Diego Costa and David Villa are strong, Arda Turan is the player who impressed me most of all. He gives to his team quality and quantity.

“Atletico are a strong team but we want to be the protagonists.”

The youngster was also asked for a soundbite on Milan’s new Coach Clarence Seedorf.

“He is a winner, he has new ideas and a different mindset. Our goal? We want to arrive as high as possible, so we still have to work on and improve.”
