Reports in Italy suggest that talks held between Milan and Santos have culminated in the Rossoneri declaring Robinho as off the market.

The 28-year-old has been linked with a return to the Brazilian club in recent days, with both clubs thought to be considering using Milan target Rafael Cabral as a makeweight in negotiations for the €15m-rated forward.

Whilst Santos have denied interest and the player’s agent has suggested that he wants to remain at San Siro, reports in Italy place Santos club delegates as in an hour-long meeting this afternoon with Galliani and Braida.

However, the latest indication is that those discussions saw Milan make clear their intention to keep hold of the Brazilian international, stressing to Santos that they do not intend to sell the player.
