Massimo Ambrosini has been left out of the squad because of injury which has allowed young Bryan Cristante to get a call.

With two games left in the group, Milan are second – five points behind the already qualified Malaga, but one point clear of Anderlecht and two ahead of Zenit.

The Diavolo will face the Russians at home in their final group game.

Squad: Abbiati, Amelia, Gabriel; Acerbi, De Sciglio, Mexes, Yepes, Zapata; Boateng, Constant, Cristante, De Jong, Emanuelson, Flamini, Montolivo, Nocerino; Bojan, El Shaarawy, Pato, Pazzini, Robinho.
