Sky Sport Italia reports Milan have reached an agreement to sign 17-year-old Serbian striker Matija Popovic as a free agent and are close to securing the services of Juan Miranda, also on a free transfer.

The Serie A giants are expected to announce the first two deals of 2024 as Sky Sport Italia claims they have reached an agreement to sign Serbian striker Popovic on a free transfer in January.

Popovic is under contract with Partizan until the end of the year, December 31, 2023, and will move to Milanello in January.

According to Sky Sport, Milan have reached a full agreement with the player’s entourage so this can be considered a done deal.

At the same time, the Rossoneri are also moving towards signing a more experienced player, such as Betis’ Juan Miranda.

The 23-year-old is contracted with Betis Sevilla until the end of the season, June 30, 2024.

Sky Sport Italia claims Milan directors will have a new contact with the player’s agents over the next few hours to ‘fix’ the latest contract details.

Miranda is a left-back and would move to Milanello as a backup for Theo Hernandez. Once Milan reach a full agreement with the player, they will make an offer to Betis to sign Miranda in January, but if the La Liga side don’t give their green light, the Spanish defender will join the Diavoli on a free transfer in June 2024.
