According to several reports in Italy, Milan coach Stefano Pioli is preparing some tactical changes for next season, so Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic could play together.

Giroud has joined Milan from Chelsea, coming in as a backup striker for Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

However, according to both Sky Sport Italia and La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan coach Stefano Pioli is studying a new tactical system to include both players in his starting line-up.

The Rossoneri finished runner-ups in Serie A last season, mainly using a 4-2-3-1 system.

However, with Hakan Calhanoglu, who has left the San Siro to join Inter as a free agent, Pioli is considering using a new system next season.

The Italian tactician could switch to a 4-4-2 formation, with both strikers up front and with either Ante Rebic or Theo Hernandez playing as a left-winger.

In case the Frenchman starts wide in midfield, new signing Fodé Ballo-Touré would replace him at the back.

Another option that Pioli is considering is using a 4-4-2 in a rhombus formation, so without attacking wingers and with Ismael Bennacer, Franck Kessié and Sandro Tonali, and Tommaso Pobega in the middle of the park.

Both Fiorentina and Atalanta are believed to be interested in the former Spezia loanee, but according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan are considering keeping him at San Siro.
