Parma President Tommaso Ghirardi expects Jonathan Biabiany to be fired up against Milan at the weekend.

The winger thought he had secured a transfer deadline day switch to the Diavolo, but – even after posing for a picture wearing a Diavolo scarf – the deal collapsed when Cristian Zaccardo wouldn’t make the opposite journey.

“It will certainly be a peculiar game for Biabiany,” Ghirardi told Sky Sport Italia. “Evidently, Milan are not in his destiny.

“He’ll be very motivated to do well against them though, as will the rest of his teammates.

“These types of matches produce a certain kind of adrenalin and I can’t wait for the game against the Rossoneri.

“Milan are a great team and very much in form. Pippo Inzaghi is clearly giving them a new mentality as a side.”
