“Santos may be interested in Robinho, but it is not our intention to sell,” Vice President Adriano Galliani stated on Monday.
“There are no offers for any of our players at this point in time. I think that Pato is on the mend and everything has been cleared up with his agent.
“There are 32 players in the squad and if nobody leaves then nobody will come in. We’ll have to sell first and then buy, otherwise we’ll stay as we are.”
Galliani was again, inevitably, asked about a possible bid for Manchester City enigma Mario Balotelli.
“Balotelli? It’s a sentimental matter, but enough of this,” he added. “We’d have to get down to 26-27 players for him to arrive because there really are too many of us.
“If five don’t go, there will be no new signings.”
The official also praised striking sensation Stephan El Shaarawy, the kid who is Serie A’s top scorer this term thanks to his 12 goals so far.
“Neymar and El Shaarawy are the strongest 20-year-olds in circulation. They’d be a good paring, but, please, make it clear that I’m only joking otherwise…”
