Milan seem to have moved ahead of Juventus in the race to sign former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba.

The Ivorian international has been heavily linked with a move to the Bianconeri recently, but Gazzetta dello Sport believe that the Old Lady have withdrawn for proceedings, leaving Massimiliano Allegri's men in pole-position.

The Milan-based paper claim that Adriano Galliani will negotiate with the striker in person once he gets back from Brazil, where he is currently overseeing the sales of Robinho and Alexandre Pato.

If Drogba does join, he will miss the first month of action due to African Cup of Nations requirements, but will be available for the Champions League campaign.
