The Cavaliere was present yesterday for the inauguration of Sergio Mattarella as the new President of the Italian Republic, and he expressed some of his expectations about his Coach.

“We have hope that Inzaghi may mature,” Berlusconi is quoted as saying.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the President maintains faith in Inzaghi for the time-being, but expects  the team to achieve a League finish to secure Europa League qualification for next year.

The publication reports that this is the minimum performance expected from the former poacher, and that anything less will most likely result in the sack.
