Mario Balotelli’s public appeal for a return “home” from Manchester City could see Milan make a transfer deadline day loan swoop.

It’s reported the Rossoneri are hatching a plan to wait it out until the final days of the summer to make their proposal.

“I’m not happy at Manchester, I don’t like the city,” he told Sky Sport Italia after scoring in City’s 3-0 win over Inter on Sunday.

“I’m happy with the Coach and within the team, but you can’t have everything in life,” he continued.

“I don’t miss Milan, I miss Brescia, my home. I miss my family and my friends. I don’t know if I will stay until the end of my contract,” he added. “I’m here for now and then we’ll see.”

This is not the first time the Rossoneri have taken advantage of a player who is unhappy in his situation, but too expensive for a permanent switch.

They also snatched Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Barcelona on loan with a mandatory buy-out clause at the end of the season. Ibra was also a former Inter player who crossed the San Siro divide.
