Marco Giampaolo has reportedly agreed a two-year contract with Milan, while Lazio director Igli Tare is sorely tempted to join him.

The new Rossoneri are taking shape with Ivan Gazidis and Paolo Maldini taking charge.

According to Sportitalia, Giampaolo has whittled down the details of a two-year contract with option for a third season.

He just needs to terminate his current deal with Sampdoria by mutual consent, which should be done on Monday, as a meeting with President Massimo Ferrero has already been booked.

Meanwhile, Sky Sport Italia claim Maldini has chosen Tare as his ideal director of sport, with Zvonimir Boban in another key role.

Tare has been at Lazio for a decade now and is a former Biancocelesti player, so is feeling understandably torn about the idea of leaving Rome.

At the same time, he is intrigued by the Milan project and unsure of what to do next.
