Milan’s Bakaye Traorè is heading to Genoa as part of a deal which will see Valter Birsa move in the other direction.

Sky Sport Italia claim the two clubs held successful talks last night after a meeting between Genoa chief Enrico Preziosi and Diavolo director Adriano Galliani.

Traorè only joined the San Siro outfit a year ago from Nancy, but he failed to establish himself in the first team plans of boss Massimiliano Allegri. He made just seven League appearances last term.

Birsa, meanwhile, is a 27-year-old Slovenian international midfielder who scored twice in 17 appearances on loan at Torino in 2012-13.
