While the exact details are yet to be announced, word from the Corriere dello Sport is that a renewal of the company’s sponsorship deal with the club will be confirmed and this could involve an investment of about €80m from the airline colossus across four years.

Other sources report that the figures involved may be as high as €90m across five years, meaning – if confirmed – a total increase of around €25m from the previous deal with the shirt sponsor.

The new agreement is believed to have been defined in its details a few weeks ago in Berlusconi's visit to Dubai, and is seen as opening up new possibilities for Milan in view of the winter transfer window.
