Balotelli is going through a tough spell at City which has raised some question marks over his future.

Things then took another twist last week when his needless red card in the Europa League saw him dropped from the Italy squad for breaking Cesare Prandelli's code of ethics.

"It's an unfortunate time for Mario," agent Mino Raiola told Sky Sport 24. "It's not a happy spell, but he'll come out of it stronger than before.

"Nevertheless, there are no problems with his club or with Coach Roberto Mancini. A part of the English media, the part I don't respect that much, does everything it can to create drama.

"Prandelli and Mario have spoken, it was a positive conversation and their relationship is an excellent one.

"The boy is disappointed with his dismissal and the fact that he's not been selected for Italy as a result."

Raiola concluded the interview by suggesting that a move to Milan is on the cards at some point in the future.

He stated: "I hope that he can one day play in the Milan derby again…"

Balotelli left Inter in the summer after difficulties with the Beneamata and he's been strongly linked with city rivals Milan ever since.
