La Gazzetta dello Sport understands Milan patron Silvio Berlusconi has told Adriano Galliani to "give me a present" in January, which has been taken to mean Cassano.
In the meantime, they are waiting for the arbitration panel's decision, because if Cassano's contract is rescinded, Sampdoria will still have to sort out the payment of a €5m installment of his transfer from Real Madrid.
Inter appear to be most in need of Cassano, though, and it's rumoured that the player's agent Beppe Bozzo has been working on a deal for months.
