Milan have played down reports that they are in Paris to negotiate a deal for Paris Saint-Germain’s Adrien Rabiot.

Reports in recent days have paired the Rossoneri with interest in the highly-rated youngster and it was asserted that yesterday officials from the club were in the French capital to discuss a possible deal.

However, Milan have denied this through a brief statement released on their website, amid comment on negotiations with Liverpool for Mario Balotelli.

“In regard to news concerning the presence of Milan yesterday in Paris, the official site of the Rossoneri announces that these circumstances do not correspond exactly with the truth,” the club’s brief words read today.

Even so, reports continue to link the 19-year-old with San Siro, as his apparent refusal to sign an extension with PSG is seen as forcing the capital club’s hand somewhat.

Ironically, though, Gianluca Di Marzio’s website suggests that Milan’s best hope of catching Raboit is on a two-year loan deal, but that this would only be made possible if he extends his contract beyond its current June 2015 expiry.
