Now though Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting a thaw in relations, and in the coming weeks there could be consultations with the city over a 99-year lease.
That would effectively see the two clubs own the stadium, and ensure both remain at one of football’s most iconic arenas.
Last month the two approved a €15m renovation plan, which includes replacing seats in the first tier, expanding commercial spaces and a new lounge for the museum.
