Bakayoko isn’t even on the bench for Maurizio Sarri’s Premier League debut against Huddersfield Town, which kicks off this afternoon.

He is frustrated at not being considered a part of Sarri’s plans and, turning 24 next month, wants more regular playing time.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Sportitalia and other Italian sources, talks are progressing well for Milan to sign Bakayoko and there were more conference calls today.

It’d be a paid loan with option to buy for €35m at the end of the current campaign.

As a sign the negotiations have reached an intensive stage, technical director Leonardo skipped the planned flight to Madrid for tonight’s friendly game against Real Madrid.

He remained behind in Milan and could fly out to London to discuss details.

As the midfielder comes in, so Manuel Locatelli goes out towards Sassuolo for €14m.
