Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi has a dream about signing Cristiano Ronaldo, while he thinks Zlatan Ibrahimovic is worthy of the Golden Ball.

“I would not say no to buying Cristiano Ronaldo,” the former Italian Prime Minister told Il Processo di Biscardi.

“However, it would have to be at a fair price due to the economic crisis which is not only affecting Italy.”

Milan haven’t really been associated with the Real Madrid star as reports are linking them with possible bids for Manchester City’s Carlos Tevez and Robin Van Persie of Arsenal instead.

“Who?” responded Berlusconi when asked about his club’s two supposed Premiership targets.

Turning to players already at Milan, the politician raved about the ability of Ibrahimovic after his hat-trick against Palermo on Saturday.

“Ibra deserves the Golden Ball,” he added. “To win it though you have to perform on the international stage so I hope that he will do well for us in the Champions League.”

Milan face Arsenal tonight in the second leg of the last 16 tie, 4-0 up from the first leg at the Stadio Meazza.

“We can’t be defensive, we have a reputation to defend,” Berlusconi stated. “We have to go to Arsenal to win the game.

“We want to be protagonists in Italy and in Europe.”

Berlusconi was also questioned on Alexandre Pato, the player who is dating his daughter and the striker whom he refused to sell to Paris Saint-Germain in January.

“He’s suffering with too many injuries, but he’s a champion. Now we have to just let him recover in his own time.”
