Milan have reportedly resurrected their interest in Nikola Kalinic, although there are conflicting claims about Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Kalinic has replaced Aubameyang as one of the three strikers Milan are pursuing, alongside Andrea Belotti and Alvaro Morata.

Furthermore, there is belief that a deal for the Fiorentina forward could be done in the shortest time – something made more difficult due to the difference in time zone between Italy and China, where the Rossoneri are currently residing.

The Croat, who would also prove the cheapest option at around €35m, is expected back at Fiorentina’s training camp in Moena after being granted extra time off to resolve “family” issues.

Pantaleo Corvino has been reassured that Kalinic will return, but the attacker is still said to be pining for Milan, who have yet to improve on their last bid of €22m.

However, Gazzetta dello Sport suggests the Diavolo are not buying Dortmund’s admission that Aubameyang had been taken off the market.
