According to Sky Sport Italia Rossoneri reporter Carlo Pellegatti, there has been an initial approach for the 21-year-old Spanish starlet.
He is not getting playing time under new Barca coach Ronald Koeman, so is pushing for a loan spell elsewhere in January.
Milan are not new to this type of deal, as they already have Brahim Diaz on loan from Real Madrid and Diogo Dalot from Manchester United.
