Milan have asked Chelsea for Dutch international midfielder Mario van Ginkel on loan.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the Rossoneri made a formal request to take the 21-year-old midfielder on a one-year loan, possibly with an option to buy.
Van Ginkel spent most of last season on the treatment table due to a knee injury, managing only eight appearances in all competition.
