Milan and Chelsea have changed ownership, but this hasn’t stopped the two clubs from completing several deals over the last few years.

The Rossoneri are ready to welcome Christian Pulisic after signing Ruben Loftus-Cheek in June.

The purchase of the USMNT international is the latest deal completed by the two clubs across the last two years and a half.

They started with Fikayo Tomori’s loan move in January 2021. Milan completed his permanent transfer at the end of the season for circa €25m.

The Rossoneri were owned by Elliott then, while Roman Abramovich was at the helm of Chelsea. The deals continued in the summer of 2021, with Olivier Giroud moving to the Stadio Meazza for circa €2m and Tiemoue Bakayoko following his compatriot on a two-year loan. The Frenchman joined Milan for the second time in three years.

Gerry Cardinale’s RedBird acquired Milan in August 2022, months after their first Serie A title in over a decade and Todd Boehly’s purchase of Chelsea.

The Blues were interested in Rafael Leao last summer, but the Rossoneri refused to sell for less than his €150m clause.

Now, the Rossoneri have welcomed Ruben Loftus-Cheek and are ready to complete the signing of Pulisic.

Other players moved to Milan from Chelsea before them, including Michael Essien, Marco van Ginkel, Fernando Torres and Mario Pasalic, while Rossoneri legend Andriy Shevchenko joined the Blues in 2006, returning to San Siro two years later.
