Milan have a new member of their board of directors and it consolidates the American connection, as Randy Levine is also the President of baseball club the New York Yankees.

The Rossoneri continue the process of moving over from the Elliott Management era to the RedBird administration.

Levine, who turns 68 next month, was appointed to the Milan board of directors as a new counsellor.

He has been President of the New York Yankees for over 20 years and before that was working with then Mayor of New York Rudy Giuliani.

“For over two decades, I have been fortunate to have a unique and successful partnership with the New York Yankees and the Steinbrenner Family, including most recently the Yankees’ investment alongside RedBird in AC Milan,” said RedBird founder and managing partner Gerry Cardinale.

“I am thrilled to welcome Randy Levine to the Board of AC Milan and look forward to building a global collaboration between the Yankees and AC Milan.”
