“Okaka is a bull and I hope to see XI lions on the pitch,” smiled the Coach in his Press conference.

“If Okaka and Gabbiadini keep playing like this, they can target international call-ups just like Sassuolo’s Zaza. It all depends on them, though, as first they must impress at Sampdoria.

“We want to be consistent this season, as that’s the only way to remain in the top half of the table. I can tell that we are slowly turning into a team. We must always have the right attitude and character.”

Sassuolo are looking to make a point after their 7-0 hammering at the hands of Inter last week.

“They will certainly want to do well in front of their fans. Their strikers can hurt you. As I say to my players, sometimes it is easier to take down a bull than to hit a bee.

“If we play the way we have done so far this season, then we’ll have our opportunities.”

The midweek round sees Sampdoria take on Genoa in the Derby della Lanterna, but Mihajlovic hopes that won’t be distracting.

“I will make sure the concentration levels are high. These are intelligent lads and great professionals.”
