Sinisa Mihajlovic has expressed his wish that Riccardo Montolivo stays at Fiorentina this summer.
The Italy international midfielder has stalled on signing a new contract at the Artemio Franchi.
He is considering his options amid reported interest from Juventus.
"I hope that Montolivo stays," Mihajlovic said. "He is our captain, but in this business it takes two people to reach an agreement.
"If you are asking me for an opinion, I'll say that I am optimistic that he will stay."
