“This is going to be a difficult game, just like all the Serie A ties,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“Torino are unbeaten in seven and picked up 12 points in that time, so only Juventus have done better. If we play the way we know how, then we’ve got a good chance of taking home points.”

After many delays, Eto’o finally completed his transfer from Everton and is available for selection, but Mihajlovic is keeping his feet on the ground.

“It is impossible to see Eto’o from the start. He is not ready. When he has the right intensity, then he will play. The rules are equal for everyone.

“For now, he doesn’t give me the guarantees I need to put him in the starting XI. Of course during a match he can come on and a quality player like that can change the game at any moment.
“He is a humble lad and I appreciated the way he settled in. He is the most representative player and it is only right he behaves this way.

“I am not just talking about Eto’o, but all the other lads who arrived here have struggled despite keeping up with their training elsewhere.”

Mihajlovic also said goodbye to former captain Daniele Gastaldello, who is leaving Sampdoria for Bologna.

“I want to publicly thank Gastaldello for all he has done for me and for this team. I am sorry, but it’s only right after so many years to change and look for new challenges.

“Along with Angelo Palombo, he gave me a big hand.”
