Bologna coach Sinisa Mihajlovic has hailed former Roma captain Francesco Totti in his autobiography. ‘It’s striking that he never won the Ballon d’Or’.

The Rossoblu coach has praised Totti in his autobiography ‘La Partita della Vita (The Game of Life)’, saying his former Giallorossi teammate was 'more complete' than the greatest Italy internationals.

“[Roberto] Baggio, [Alessandro] Del Piero, [Roberto] Mancini, [Gianfranco] Zola… Totti was more complete than any of them,” Mihajlovic said in his autobiography.

“He scored 250 goals and made over 1000 assists. Looking at who won the Ballon d’Or, it’s striking that it was not awarded to him.”

“When he had problems with Roma at the time of Carlos Bianchi, I wanted to bring him to Sampdoria. When he was about to quit, I suggested he should come to Torino and be my assistant.

“But he didn’t want to break away from Roma. I have never seen an assist man with a first touch like him.”
