It kicks off on Monday at 19.30 UK time (18.30 GMT).

“We have certainly done some great things, but in reality, we’ve achieved nothing yet,” insisted the Coach in his Press conference.

“Tomorrow we have the chance to secure our Serie A safety against a team that is going through a moment of difficulty. That means we have a psychological advantage, despite the fact Milan are playing at home.

“If we play the way we have done lately, then we can do very well indeed.”

Mihajlovic is well aware that Gennaro Gattuso is probably in his final games on the Rossoneri bench, having been fired himself by this club.

He already took another scalp at San Siro when Bologna shocked Inter here on February 3.

“I know the Milan crowd and they have very little patience, even less than Inter fans, so the pressure on them will be enormous.

“There are some similarities with the form Inter were in when we beat them here and I told the lads we’ve got to make the most of every minor advantage.

“I saw that Milan were put into a training retreat to punish the squad. I did that a few times in my career, but rarely got anything out of it. This is Milan’s last chance saloon for the Champions League, but that’s their problem, not ours.

“If we achieve safety, it’d be almost a miracle. In the first 21 rounds there were two wins, now six, as we woke up the team. However, I repeat, we’ve achieved nothing yet and need that final push.”

Bologna are without suspended Roberto Soriano and Ibrahima Mbaye.

“The player with the closest characteristics to Soriano is Mattias Svanberg. I really like him for his head, physicality, pace, shot, and this is the right game for him to show all of that. In the long run, Svanberg can be a regular starter at Bologna.

“I’ve given enough hints, I don’t think it takes a nuclear scientist to figure out my line-up.”
