Maurizio Zamparini has confirmed Fabrizio Miccoli wants to leave Palermo, probably for Napoli. “Maybe he's looking for a juicy pay-packet.”
The captain has barely played this season and was distraught at the final whistle of the Coppa Italia Final against Inter – his last game for the club.
“I don't know why Miccoli wants to leave Palermo,” President Zamparini told Radio Goal.
“He probably wouldn't be a first team player at Napoli either. I think he's good enough to play in any side.

Zamparini famously hurled insults at Inter after Sunday's Coppa Italia 3-1 Final defeat, later apologising for calling them ‘thieves.'
“The last 10 minutes were really tough to sit through with all those refereeing errors that meant Inter won a game they did not deserve.”
