Palermo are breathing a sigh of relief after tests ruled out a thigh strain for captain Fabrizio Miccoli.
The ‘Pocket Striker’ picked up a left thigh problem during Sunday’s 4-1 defeat to Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.
Initial reports feared the worst, as a thigh strain would’ve kept Miccoli out for around a month.
However, this afternoon Palermo released a statement confirming the tests “ruled out major lesions” to the left thigh muscle.
“The situation is evolving and his conditions will be evaluated again in a few days” after a course of physiotherapy.
