Fabrizio Miccoli insists “Palermo are stronger than Juventus” after a third consecutive victory over the giants.

The 2-1 result last night means Juve have lost their last three meetings with the Sicilians.

“Are Palermo stronger than Juventus? If I have to look at the recent results, then I'd have to say yes,” commented Miccoli on Sky Italia television.

The Rosanero have now climbed above the Old Lady in the Serie A standings, although there was controversy over Cesare Bovo's handling offence.

“The penalty could've been given, but the thing that makes me think is this incident was replayed countless times on television,” continued the captain.

“We have been awarded one penalty in 25 games and were denied so many spot-kicks, but our incidents never get attention from the media.

“In any case, I saw a different Juve from recent outings and I believe they can make up lost ground. They have great champions in the squad and can achieve their objectives.”
