Lionel Messi is in the Barcelona squad to face Inter tomorrow, though he hasn’t been passed fit to play.

The Argentine broke his arm against Sevilla last month, but had been back in training last week.

Last night Barcelona announced that Messi would fly to Milan as part of the 22-man squad, but “without the medical all-clear” from doctors.

There was some hope in Catalonia that El Pulce would be able to play, with his condition to be assessed leading up to the match.

There was confusion this morning, as Barça announced their squad without the Argentine, only to amend it minutes later to include him.

It’s therefore unclear if Messi will be able to play tomorrow, with Barça needing only a win to guarantee top spot in the group with two games to play.
